Officers pulled over a black 2017 Honda traveling northbound on Woodfield Road in West Hempstead after it made an unsafe lane change at 3:20 p.m., Fifth Squad detectives said.
During the investigation, officers determined the Honda had been reported stolen.
The driver, Brailyn Jaquez Perez, 23, of West Merrick Road, was arrested without incident, along with passengers Luis Joel Batlle Espinosa, 19, and Adamarie Burgos, 20, both of the Bronx, police said.
All three face charges of criminal possession of stolen property and unauthorized use of a vehicle, authorities said.
Jaquez Perez faces additional charges for aggravated unlicensed operation and multiple traffic violations, according to police.
The trio was arraigned on Tuesday, Jan. 21, at First District Court in Hempstead.
